  1. My favorite sport is tennis because all the different skills you must acquire to have it. I also like knowing that I can play tennis even when I am an old man. Tennis has plenty of options on how you can play and gives you a variety of options for every shot you hit. Each player has their own play style and they all work in their own way. Tennis gives you options on your racquet and you can have everything that the pros have but will never be able to be as good as them unless you're dedicated and spend almost your whole life playing.

  2. My favorite sport to play is volleyball because of the amount of teamwork necessary to win. Every player must be on the same page as each of the other 5 players. Communication is an absolute must in the game of volleyball. There is never one star player on a winning team; to win, it takes a team. No one player can make every play either, everyone is constantly getting involved. Other than the team aspect of volleyball, I also like how fast-paced the game is. Everyone on the court is constantly on their toes having to react to a play in less than a second to get a clean dig or a save. Losing focus or being out of place for even a quick moment can jeopardize giving up points. Volleyball is a great, exciting sport that truly teachers you how to be part of team.

  3. My favorite sport to play and to watch is basketball. I pretty much grew up playing basketball, and it was one of the only sports I excelled at, so naturally it's something that I like to do. The sport is very easy and cheap to get into, as all you need is a ball and a hoop, the latter of which can be found relatively near you, no matter where you live. There's so many different styles and ways you can play within the game, which allows people of all kinds of shapes and sizes to have fun. The sport builds teamwork and camaraderie, because communication is key and without trust in your fellow teammates, you cannot play efficiently. When watching the sport, it is amazing to see some of the greatest athletes in the world fiercely competing at such a high level, and much of the best known moments in the history of sports come from pro basketball games. Basketball is truly a great sport worth watching and playing, not only for fun, but to build teamwork, learn life skills, and stay physically fit.

  4. My favorite sport to watch and play is basketball. It is my favorite because it is fast paced and when you watch it you feel the excitement of a player such as Blake Griffin dunk all over somebody or when a player knocks down a game winner. Basketball helps bring people closer together because when playing, you work as a team to get what you want which is a win. Both trust and unselfishness are key to winning basketball games. So when playing basketball, everyone can have fun because everyone is involved and it can help build friendships as well as help you meet new people.

  5. My favorite sport is soccer. I like to play soccer because it brings all of my friends together. Everyday we are busy with work or sports, but we always find a day to play soccer. It is also a great workout. You have to run and sprint constantly which improves your condition. It is also a sport that all my friends enjoy, either playing it or watching it. I also have been playing soccer for a long time. I started playing since second grade. Soccer is popular all over the world. It makes it easy to make new friends because it is a well known sport.

  6. My favorite sport to watch is hockey. In my opinion, it is the least boring and most exciting sport to watch. If a person had never watched a hockey game, they would instantly be interested as soon as they saw the first check put onto another player. Besides football, hockey is the toughest sport. Players take pucks to the face and play with broken ribs. It's also exciting because the games are low scoring so when there is a scoring opportunity, people get pumped up

  8. My favorite sport is soccer. Since I was a little kid my brother and I would always go outside to “kick around” when we were bored. Soccer was and is the sport that l like to play not only because it is fun, but also because it helps me stay active. Soccer is a fast paced game, and also requires the player to communicate a lot. Teamwork is a very important factor in soccer and that is why it brings many people together. Whenever I do not play I try to watch soccer games on TV. I have been playing soccer since I was a little kid and not only did I make a lot of friends but I learned a lot of skill during that time, for these reasons soccer is my favorite sport.

  9. My favorite sport is Football. Why? well its because i'm in love with the sport. Coming in my freshmen year and joining football for the first time, I was scared because of how physical it was, but I realized to be a man, you have to play a mans sport so I did and I got use to it to where ill fell in love with it, I love my positions I play, i love tackling, I love to be that dominant man. I enjoy watching football on tv especially college football, I grew more attached to it that I cant wait to play it when I go to college! Since im in football I actually got my mom watching it on tv but I love for her to see me on national tv playing my school one day. It matters about hard work and determination and that's what I'll carry with me to college.

  10. My favorite sport to watch and play is basketball. Basketball is my favorite because it is really exciting to watch as it is a game that never slows down. Also it is a sport that requires players to not only to be good at offense but defensive as well, the best players in history were good at both and not one dimensional. That is why it is a great sport because you get to see the greatest players go head to head like LeBron and Durant. When playing basketball it is really fun because everyone is involved and working together to win the game.

  11. My favorite sport to watch and play is hockey. Ever since 5th grade me and all the kids in Stickney would come to a local park and play every Tuesday and Thursday. Then when i was in 6th grade Sahs school started its own hockey program and i played till 8th grade. Hockey is unpredictable, very chaotic, and super fast. To me hockey is the hardest and most rewarding sport you could play. I've played many sports and when you score in hockey you feel better than in any other sport because hockey requires lots of skill energy and guts.

I like football because i think it is the hardest and toughest sport. 15. my favorite sport is soccer , because there is so much about soccer how to play it may be easy to others but in general its hard to play soccer. Knowing the skills of soccer can help you when you play , it will make the game easy for u and your team mates. You have to be active and always moving around . u have to make the game easy to you and your team mates , also I can show my son or daughter how to play and show them good drills that will help him or her to be a better soccer , I would even be able one day to play with my son :) in a team or even get to coach him or get him to be a pro in soccer that's why its my favorite sport.

  16. My favorite sport to watch is basketball. Reason is because the intensity of it. Seeing a person slam a monster dunk in is awesome, or watching a buzzer beater gives you a adrenaline rush. It may seem like a boring sport but having to put a ball in a circle is pretty hard when your under pressure. Watching Michael Jordan as a young kid, he makes you and current players want to achieve things never done like dunking from the free throw line which many people can't do til this day. Growing up, my family were die hard Bulls fans, so not watching basketball was kind of impossible. That's why my favorite sport to watch is basketball.

  17. My favorite sport to play is bowling. I like bowling because it is a really fun sport to play and also revolves around teamwork because as a team u must score as high as u can in order to win. I have been on the bowling team for 4 years and it has been a great experience. I even like bowling outside of school with friends and family. It can be a very frustrating sport at times when you can't get the ball where u want it to go, but in the end it always ends up being a good time. I have met some really great people bowling and have enjoyed being on the team at Reavis I enjoy the company of all of my fellow teammates when we are at the matches.

  18. My favorite sport to watch and also play in is boxing. Fighting is a natural instinct of ours and it always has been ever since we were born. Most people use fighting as a means of settling an argument because they think its the manliest thing to do so i like watching to see whos top dog. Boxing is always interesting because anyone can win with a lucky punch at anytime so it keeps you watching. It also requires a crazy amount of training and dedication just like any other sport. Every now and then you get an underdog who overcomes the odds and reaches the top and thats what i like most like Mohammed Ali, Floyd Mayweather, Rocky Marciano, Manny Pacquiao and, Mike Tyson. Growing up i remember watching Rocky the movie with my dad and saying i want to be just like him and to this day rocky is my favorite movie.

  19. My favorite sport to play and to watch is soccer. When soccer is played the right way, it looks great on the television. The premier league is the league that i usually watch. The English clubs are the best in the world. The reason i like soccer so much is because it isn't a sport that one person can win the whole game. Everyone has to rely on each other and have each others backs to win. The goalie, defense, midfield, and offense all have to work together to help each other out. I have been playing soccer since i was in the second grade. I hope to continue to play in college and maybe even further on.

  20. My favorite sport is football. I grew up surrounded by sports. My older brothers were three sport athletes and we were constantly out playing some sport somewhere. Football, is the one sport that we're all most passionate about. From well before the time I could walk I was given a packers jersey and cheering for more Lambeau Leaps on Monday night. I first started playing football when i was in the third grade and played through my sophomore year. I love football because it is a passionate game, full of big plays, hard hits, and unbelievable moments. Passed that, I love the work and dedication that it takes to play. It's an incredibly rewarding experience when you win on game day, not necessarily because of what happened that game, but because of days and weeks of practices that lead to it.

  22. My favorite sport to play and watch would be basketball. Basketball is my favorite sport to play because it's the one sport you see being played every day at the park, and it's something I usually play every day in the summer. I also like it because it's something that almost everyone plays now so I just get a chance to play more games, make friends, and improve my game with different playing styles that other people have. I also like it because it's a good workout because you are always moving and jumping. I like watching it because of the jaw dropping plays, like someone hitting a tree when there's tight defense or being able to finish through contact with a dunk or layup and get a three point play.

  23. My favorite sport is wrestling. I like wrestling because it teaches me how to be dedicated and willing to take sacrifices. For example cutting weight so I can make weight for the team and hopefully win, and willing to let many activities or plans go just so I can go to practice everyday to become better. Another reason is the amount of happiness and excitement I earn when I win a match is truly unbelievable because I can see all the hard work paying off. Not only do I like wrestling for those reasons there are many more, but the most important is the family/friendship I get to make during the season. Its almost like the wrestling gym becomes a second home.

  26. My favorite sport is swimming because you can compete on a team and also individually at the same time. It is also very, very good for your health because it does not put stress on your joints and it strengthens your cardiovascular strength and endurance. I also like it because it gives me confidence that translated over to my summer job as a life guard and swim teacher. The confidence I have in my swimming ability really gave my younger students trust in me and confidence for themselves to learn how to swim too. I will be swimming the rest of my life for the health benefits and because it is fun.

  27. My favorite sport to watch and play will have to be football. Growing up, it was the only thing my uncle and dad wanted to watch or talk about. That eventually led to my brothers and I to start watching football. When I got older my uncle would take us to the park and always play football. I then started watching other teams because my brother and I would make bets about this game or that game. I also started to play games like Madden or NCAA. To sum it up, the reason I like football is because I grew up around it.

  28. My favorite sport would be baseball because i like to play the outfield and 2nd base. I like baseball because I grew up watching it with my uncles and dad. We used to watch it a lot mostly the white sox. Even as I got older I watched it and started to play on a team I wasn't always the best on the team but I always tried my best to do good and if I messed up I did my best to improve my game in any way. I haven't really been able to play and I haven't played for a while but I would definitely play again if I had the chance to. I just like the intensity and thrills of standing at the plate

  30. Of all the sports I've played my entire life I think my favorite one has to be snowboarding, even though I just started the past year. I like it because your free to do whatever you want with it. there are no set rules to it, no one can tell you where to ride, or how to ride. This freedom is so unlike traditional team sports I grew up playing. The feeling you get when your on the mountain is great. Carving your way down, feeling the texture of the snow get transferred through your boots making its way up is an awesome sensation.

  31. My favorite sport is soccer because I have been playing it all my Life. There is much to learn about soccer. The game is very Important to me. It has the potential to change a per on in aspects of mind and body. Learning the rules is a fun part of the game. You need to stay within the lines and watch out for elbows. People always run into each other in the game and find spots to shoot from. The best sensation one can get from the game is shooting and scoring a goal. It is an intense moment to have a goal. It's not very easy to score a goal but it is Possible because a soccer player always has teammates to help them out, especially the defensive players. They are always on the move and are the strongest to block any offense attack by the enemy team. A soccer player always needs to fall back when they ball is one defensive play. You need to keep up with the ball and people everywhere a lll the time.

  32. I feel that the coach at Gunderson High school did the right thing in suspending the 13 players. He gave all of them an opportunity to get back on the team if they showed up with a parent. The kids choose not to do so and instead boycott the team. That shows how much the game of basketball actually means to them. The only thing I think the coach did wrong was not telling what the players did wrong in the first place. If you are never told what you are doing is wrong then you will never fix it.
