Sport story are inspirational because they motivate people. If someone is feeling down, the stories make the person happy and confident. Speaking of confidence, sometimes people think they can't accomplish being a star because they came from a rural area, but hearing stories like LeBrons childhood, it motivates this and gives them confidence that no matter where you're from, you can do it.

When playing a sport you cannot give up no matter what, you have to be mentally tough. Sport stories are inspirational because most of the times they show that hard work pays off and that you should not give up.

When you watch or read one of these stories it makes you feel good that any thing is possible because you see theses people who grow up in these hard environments and you realize how lucky we are.
In my opinion, what makes a sports story inspirational is any story that involves the success of an underdog. It is inspirational because it shows just how hard they worked to get where they're at. Muggsy Bogues, for example, is the shortest player to ever play in the NBA at 5'3". Even though he was a lot shorter than the average NBA player he did not give up on his dreams. He worked hard and eventually his dream became a reality when he was drafted 12th overall by the Washington Bullets in 1987. This inspires people to work hard to reach their goals because anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

No matter what gender or race they might be as long as you work hard day in and day out anything is possible.It's what makes people keep going and trying their very best every time they play and if you work hard enough you as well could be known by everyone as one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

It shows that you have to give it all you got and sacrifice everything to win and thats what the underdogs do. The crowd doesn't expect the underdog to have a chance but he surprises people. One of the most recognized movies about the underdog going the distance is rocky, he was hungry and shocked the whole world when he went the distance with the champ. people don't believe in the underdogs when it comes to games but every real champion was once an underdog who was hungry for victory and made it to the top.

My favorite underdog story was when Auburn beat Alabama to end there long winning streak. It wasn't even supposed to be a close game but Auburn kept up with Alabama the entire game and pulled off an amazing play in order to beat the team that had been number one for three years straight. This game inspires me because it shows that even a team that is the underdog has a chance to win it just comes down to who shows up to play. Anyone can have an off day but all in all anything can happen.
For a sports story to be inspirational it would need to have an underdog. If you think about it there are a lot of athletes that are underdogs, and they catch people's attention more than a person that was born with talent. Only because normal people can make a better connection and get inspired. If people look at someone that was born with amazing talent they aren't going to be able to connect because they might think that they don't have the same talent as him and therefore they won't be successful. But now if they look at someone who works hard every day to get to the point where he wants to be, won't ever give up till he's there and reaches success , or he's handicapped. Then people can connect and get inspired to be that person each and every day and achieve success.

Michael Jordan made the impossible possible that night and that story inspires the youth today, most of which aren't even old enough to remember that game. Players today may find themselves injured, sick, or just not ready to play and saying, "If MJ could do all that with a flu, then I can can do this." Sports stories will forever give hope and continue to inspire.

A sport story is also inspirational when for example the athlete get very injured and every after that major injury he still goes back to the sport and puts a lot of effort into it. a story may also be inspirational when there is a team that is not good at the sport they are playing, and throughout the story the teams get better from hard work and starts winning all the games.

I think it is also the stories of people who were injured and told they were never going to be able to do anything again, let alone play sports, that really hit the homerun for inspirational sport stories. For example, Bethany Hamilton had dreams of being a pro-surfer in Hawaii when she was attacked by a shark and lost an arm in 2003. Though her doctors told her she would not be able to surf again, she kept trying until eventually, with the help of her dad and a little modification to her surf board, she has won a plethora amount of surfing competitions and championships since.

For the last 30 years Dick Hoyt has pushed his son in his wheelchair across the track of the Boston marathon, not for medals or 15 minutes of fame, but because his son wanted to run a race, but needed a little help.

It teaches us how to communicate with others like are teammates and coaches. All that will help us one day when move on to the professional world, when we have to show up for the job/career we choose.

I think that they have a hard life because if they're living conditions. Although they have subpar conditions, they manage to work harder than most people and succeed. From a young age they have an incredible work ethic and are very disciplined. I see the difference between the kids in the US and hear the stories about them and realize the difference and how much harder it is to become successful there and that is inspirational to me

The best sports song would be eye of the tiger. In the movie Rocky they play this sing when he is training for a big fight with a very good fighter who could possibly end his fighting career. This song just gets you motivated to work harder and feel you can accomplish anything. It just makes you feel like you are as strong and as tough as a tiger and you will do anything you have to in order to win
