Using H.G. Bissinger's "Prologue" as a guide, "introduce" a player on your team or a collegiate/professional athlete (if you don't play any sports). Make sure to describe how he/she looks and how he/she plays using vivid adjectives.
On the San Antonio Spurs there is a 6ft. 11inch 255 pound power forward named Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan is known for his quite and humble ways on and off the basketball court. For many he is considered a boring player but too me and spurs fans he is known for his consistent play and interior defense. He is also known for being a closer and leader. Tim Duncan has won 2 MVP's and 4 championships in his 16 years in the NBA and is considered as won of the best power forwards to play the game.
All PF are around his height. So it doesn't matter if your taller because if you look at some taller basketball players, like Hasheem Thabeet or Ian Mahinmi they can dominate the paint but they just don't have a talent. So size doesn't automatically make you good, it's how you use it. So I do think Tim Duncan is the best Power Foward in NBA history.
By far one of the best PF to ever play the game. He's up there with Barkley and Malone. He was the center peice to that team and that's why they won so much.
On the girls varsity volleyball team, there is a girl by the name of Alice Balandis. It would be hard to take the 5'8 skinny structured girl serious, but you would be proven wrong with the amount of power she has. Ally hated the long practices and conditioning, but worked hard during the hours she was there to improve. Her serves would float like rockets over the net leading to a direct point. On game days, she thought it was nearly impossible to focus on school work.No way was Ally shy or timid. She was the complete opposite by being voicetress and pressuring to the other team. Ally had one goal, and that was to win.
on the wrestling team wrestling at 113 this year jesus vasques ,is one small wrestler but packs a punch. 5'5 pound for pound one of the best wrestlers on our team who works hard to achieve his goals . winning a regional tournament last year he is one of the best wrestlers at his weight class ,now he is going to use his hard work to make it to state this year.in school he is quiet and works hard on his schoolwork.
On the football team we have a senor named Jose Romero. He is about 6'2 and is a quarterback for our team. He has a built body type which makes him a good quarterback. The way he plays is that if he has to run the ball he knows where to go and can find a hole even if there isn't a hole between a line. Jose can also juke someone out in a heartbeat if someone is about to tackle him.
On the Reavis High School Varsity basketball team named Eddie Puha. He is a 6'2, 192 pound, beast in the paint. He has a strong base, which makes it hard for opponents to push him out of the paint. With a stunning head of her he turns all the cheerleaders heads. He is a smart kid with the right morals.
I have met Eddie and I have to say he is the most level headed and nicest kid I've met in a long time and above that he works hard on basketball. I hope he succeeds this year for the Rams and brings you guys to victory.
I wrote about the same player and I agree with you completely. Hands down one of the hardest working players you could ever see. Remember that game against richards when were down 23 in the 4th quarter freshemen year. Eddie brang us back with eights 3-pointers in a row. Great player.
I agree with Zuk i have played with eddie at the local burbank park and he goes hard on the court. he has dedication, motivation, and that push for basketball like Dan Gable has for wrestling.
A man that works hard and always wants to work harder is none other than Reavis' own Belal Abuzir a pitcher with the height of 6' 2". Belal is one of those guys who always wants to play his sport and get better over the summer all he wanted to do was play long toss and pitch with me to get even better for next year and possibly become the ace of our varsity squad.
You are right when it comes to Belal being a hard worker. Every start he pitches we talk about how the game is going, and every time its the same response from him that he wants ti pitch the whole game.
On the Reavis High School basketball team we have a great player by the name of Eddie Puha. He was the hardest working athletes I've ever seen playing basketball. He was about 6'2 and 200 pounds with a strong figure. He was good hearted and very intelligent. His shooting form was one of the most sophisticated shots you could see. One of my most favorite teamate and player to play with you hands down.
I agree, Puha is a hard worker in school and on the court. Every time I see him or talk to him he always has school and basketball on his mind. I don't think I have ever seen him get mad either.
I agree. He is now a 4 year team mate of mine and has become one of my better friends. He is a great kid overall and has love for the sport of basketball.
On the Reavis Varsity football team, there's this kid named Gustavo Delgado. Even though he doesn't start, I believe he has the talent to start. All he needs is some dedication. He's one of the biggest guys on the team.
If Gustavo tryed more in practice he would be a starter And be a amazing player. I think cause of his size he doesn't believe he can actually start. Gustavo can be a amazing player though if he tried

On the boys varsity basketball team there is a 5'6 guard named Daniel Zuk. Daniel is going to have a big year and take the state by storm. By day Daniel Zuk a highschool senior looks like a little incoming freshman but this all changes on game day. Zuk turns into a blue eyed monster on the court. Daniel crosses people like Allen Iverson and jumps like Nate Robinson to grab rebounds. Zuk hits three pointers in defenders faces or as fans call it cracking treys. Daniel Zuk is a Reavis star and soon a all state guard. Daniel Zuk the White Mamba.
On the varsity baseball team there is a player named Jordan Rhodes, who is 6'. Although Jordan isn't one of the best ones on the team, he does have a lot of heart and love for the game of baseball. He is always the first one out on the field and is always trying different things to improve his pitching.
Saul Canelo Alvarez is a light middle weight boxer from Guadalajara Mexico. he is 5'9 at 152 pounds of pure muscle. Canelo has been working hard and preparing for the biggest fight in his career with Floyd Money Mayweather on September 14. Canelo is known for his strength, speed, and agility in the ring. Come September 14 Canelo will make history.
He is number seventy-two of Reavis high school's varsity football team. Having a threatening height of 6"2 weighing 230 pounds, he starts on both the defensive and offensive line as a sophomore. For just starting as a sophomore he feels the pride and determination of being the best he can be at the sport he loves. After coming home from tough practices he always manages to find room to spend time with his family. Being with his family taught him the respect he shows to his teammates and coaches. Off the field he is a well behaved smart and successful student, with a great future ahead of him. This sophomore variety football player goes by the name of Jakub Kacki.
On the Reavis varsity basketball team there is a senior guard named Ish. He is roughly about 6'2, 150 pounds. As the days go by he develops his game more and more.As a freshman he didn't get playing time but, now as a senior he improved so much that he is a key factor in this years team. I can't wait to win state and share great moments with my teammate Ish.
I agree Abdel Ishtaiah has improved so much. At this point he can already dunk the ball! He became a much better shooter and defender. This year you guys will do great.
Playing baseball there was one kid that never complained or nagged. His name is Jorge Hernandez. He is a pitcher and plays shortstop. Every practice he was the first one on the field and the last one off. He is also very talented in many positions. Playing first base I always knew Jorges throws were going to be right on target. He hustled no matter what and always had his game face on. Overall he was just a very good team player. If he saw you were struggling he would give you some tips and pointers on how to improve. He helped me with my swing sophmore year. Jorge also loved to win! That was his number one priority, winning the game. Even if he had a bad game and we won he walked off the field with a smile. Jorge has a bright future and I wish him the best.
I agree with josh he is a great player! Seen him play couple times, he is a really talented player. He is going to go far in the future by playing baseball.
On our boys varsity soccer team there is a 6 foot, lean bodyweight, and curly brown hair guy named Jose Alvarez. He is a transfer student from Romeoville and he came to Reavis to play soccer. He loves being around us and always bright up our mood by making us laugh before and after the game. Don't underestimate him, when it comes to game time he is serious. Winning is number one propriety for him. He is also a great player and plays a huge role for us on defense saving us from our mistakes. When it comes to corner kicks he likes to play offense and tries to put the ball in the back of the net. Having someone like him strengths our team and makes it better. He has big goals for himself and for our team. Pushing us to win conference and maybe state also.
He is a right handed pitcher for the Reavis varsity baseball team and goes by the name of Jordan Rhodes. He is about 6'2 180 pounds of pure muscle. I think he is one of the hardest workers on the baseball team, and is the first one to be at batting practice and having everything set up by himself. I can tell that Jordan wants to be the best player out there. Hopefully Jordan can carry us to win conference.

There is this guy name Braulio Castellanos. he got me to start doing sports with him, he is about 5' 7and he is Mexican but at first sight he looks American or polish. He is by far the hardest worker on every sport and even more in the academic field.
